“As a young child I attended Hillel with my parents and two brothers. Creating a Hagaddah for our Hillel Passover Seder was one of the highlights I fondly remember and we still pass these around at our family Seder. I was thrilled to see Hillel was still in full swing when it was my turn to bring our son to learn about Jewish life in a fun, relaxed environment. The best part is the adult program; I can stay and learn about Jewish life as well. Meeting new people in a friendly atmosphere is a bonus; my son isn't the only one making new long-term friendships!"

Our Sunday school provides a friendly, arts-based Jewish studies program for children. Running concurrent with the children’s classes is a fascinating and free lecture series for the parents.
As a co-op with a 30-year history, we offer an affordable, friendly alternative to day schools and other Sunday schools. Hillel Children’s Workshop gives children and their parents a sense of community for those who may not feel connected to the traditional Jewish community in Toronto.
Our mission is to provide children and their parents with an appreciation of Jewish traditions, holiday observance, spirituality, history and culture in an inclusive education setting, without affiliation to a synagogue. We welcome families from a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds, and attempt to strengthen and support the Jewish identity of its members.
Hillel Children’s Workshop is affiliated with the UJA Federation Centre For Jewish Education.
